CAL SMACNA Shop Tour Highlight: Senator Brian Jones Visits
California Sheet Metal

SACRAMENTO – CAL SMACNA would like to thank Mark Austgen and Joe Isom of California Sheet Metal Works (CSM) for hosting Senator Brian Jones (R-San Diego) at their shop in Chula Vista. The Senator enjoyed meeting Mark, Joe, and the entire CSM team; and he was able to learn all about the architectural sheet metal trade, the status of CA’s construction industry, the middle class income jobs being provided by CSM, as well as, better understand modern machinery and the technological advancements happening in the industry.

See the proud quote from Senator Jones on his social media pages regarding his tour of California Sheet Metal:

“Manufacturing and construction related industries are the heart and soul of East County San Diego in the 38th Senate District. I was proud to tour California Sheet Metal and discover they have been operating for over 100 years, remained an employee-owned company all these years, and manufacture and install some of San Diego’ most iconic landmarks including the downtown San Diego Main Library dome, and decorative building facades for corporate and educational campuses like UCSD, Point Loma Nazarene University, Petco and Qualcomm to name a few.

They employee engineers, architects, fabricators, and laborers who receive top notch training from the Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors’ National Association.”
